Marlita Gamble

Marlita Gamble is a Pontiac, Michigan native who is currently in her last year of her master's program pursuing Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oakland University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Film from Central Michigan University and worked as a video producer for a school district for 4 years before deciding to enter the helping field. Marlita aspires to bring her creative abilities to the field of counseling through Art and Dance therapy as well as using fashion and styling as a tool to combat low self-esteem and promote positive body image. She also hopes to explore racial trauma while simultaneously shedding light on the importance of mental wellness within the black community.
